We’ve been busy making Christmas treats for everyone to share, starting with our Christmas Tree – made with Maltesers.

The tree is decorated with tiny white pearls balls, red balls with a gold star on top.

Full blog post tomorrow xx

After a little time away from Ollies Pops, dues to personal reasons, I have now returned to creating delicious treats for everyone.

I was asked to make 3 sweetie trees for a childrens birthday party last week.  I made a large ‘Heavenly’ Rolo Tree & 2 kiddies sweetie trees.

Each of the rolos is attached to the centre ball with chocolate – not a spiky cocktail stick in sight!  The Rolo sweetie tree is mounted on a ribbon wrapped wooden pole (matched to your theme) and potted in a terracotta pot, with an added layer of sweeties (here its a mix of kiddies jellies).  The sweetie trees are wrapped in cellophane for decoration and collection/delivery.

Suitable for childrens parties, wedding receptions on sweetie tables or as table centre pieces/favours, family parties, gifts & presents and seasonal celebrations.

Theses sweetie trees are available to order from www.olliespops.co.uk – collection from Greenhithe, Kent or for a small delivery charge to surrounding areas.  See our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/OlliesPops for delivery charges.

Today I thought I would share my latest delicious cake pop creations. Introducing ‘Rocky Roadsta Cake Pops’. Delicious bites of vanilla cake crumbles mixed with vanilla buttercream and melted chocolate, combined with sticky marshmallows and chocolate chips – formed into cake pops – then dipped in a dark chocolate and white candy marbled coating!

More than a bite of deliciousness on a stick.

Soon to be available on Ollies Pops website – posted throughout the UK or for collection from my home bakery in Kent.

I’m continuing to add new sweetie trees to my delicious collection.  Above is my medium Rolo sweetie tree – it has around 10 packets of Rolo’s covering it.  It’s ‘potted’ in crunchy Love Heart sweets in a teracotta pot and is decorated in a red theme.

Mini Marshmallow, Jelly Tots and Gummy Bears Tree £18.00

This tree is made with mini marshmallows, gummy bears and jelly tots – perfect for childrens parties.  It’s ‘planted’ in a teracotta pot with mini marshmallows.

They’re available to buy through our website www.olliespops.co.uk

This afternoon I’m working on a large marshmallow tree.  Yum yum!

I’ve been busy recently making cake pop bouquets for customers – they’re popular as a different gift to send to your friends and family.

Above is a selection of ‘pink’ cake pops that I sent out last week.  I always make a few ‘extra’ in case any cake pops break whilst wrapping or they fall off the stick or to give to friends.  My little toddlers always seem to drape themselves over the kitchen safety gate when I’m baking – I think they know when Mummy’s making cakes!

Last week I decided to treat them to a cake pop each and I took this lovely photo of Ollie eating a cake pop!

I’m sure he’d like to get his sticky little fingers on a whole bouquet of cake pops!

Hope you all have a fantastic week!

New Sweetie Trees by Ollies Pops

I’ve added a new range of products to Ollies Pops – Sweetie and Candy trees. I love chocolate and sweets and I thought what better way to combine them than to make a sweetie tree.

All the trees in Ollie’s range have the sweets and chocolate ‘stuck’ on with chocolate.

Already, the ‘Heavenly Rolo Tree’ is proving popular – and with the Love Hearts added, it really is a show stopper.

The mixed sweetie trees are fabulous for childrens parties, with a choice of marshmallows, gummy bears, jelly tots, dolly mix – and that’s just for starters!

Please look at my website for prices and options

Happy Friday!

New workshops will be available soon – we’re collaborating with our sister company http://www.createjewellery.co.uk to run cake pop making workshops.  We’ll show you how to make cake pops, supply you with cake and frosting recipes.  How to shape and mould your cake pops and the best way to dip and cover them.  Then we’ll show you decorating ideas and you’ll make a selection of your own delicious cake pops – and arrange them as a ‘cake pop bouquet’ ready to take home to show your friends and family.

We’ll let you know when these workshops are about to start…

These are (some) of my official photos of my ‘cupcake in a jar’ and ‘cake pop’ range.  I have been super busy baking the cupcake jars for Valentines and also Mothering Sunday.  The most popular flavour for the cupcakes in a jar so far has been lemon – moist lemon sponge infused with fresh lemon & buttercream icing with fresh lemon juice and syrup.  And for an extra little layer of yum, I scoop out a little sponge and add a ‘dollop’ of lemon curd.

My cupcakes in a jar, are baked in 8oz jam jars, with the cake mixture put straight into the jar and placed in the oven.  When they’re baked, I leave them to cool and decorate with layers of sprinkles and buttercream icing.

My cake pops are made with fresh baked cake, mixed with delicious buttercream icing, to form balls of deliciousness.  Then I place them on the sticks and decorate in your chosen theme.  The above cake pops were grouped together to form a ‘love’ bouquet for Valentines Day.  A cute little gift, don’t you think?

The cake pops can be made in a range of colours and centres – all delicious – greate for adults and children.

They make gorgeous wedding favours & can be finished with ribbon & tags to suit your theme.

All my lovely photo’s were taken by Nikki at Nikki Waterlow Photography, who is based in Kent.  www.nikkiwaterlow.co.uk  My cake pops and cupcakes in a jar appeared on her blog in February especially for a Valentines feature.  Nikki is a pleasure to work with and I love the photo’s she took for me.  http://nikkiwaterlow.wordpress.com/
